(work in progress, moving-image installation)

In Memory of a Dead Leader is a moving-image work exploring how political memory is performed, inherited and contested following the death of a community’s leader. Through sustained observation of commemorative practices and the places in which they unfold, the work considers how an absent figure continues to occupy the lives of those who remember him.
